What is Hope City Kids?

Every Sunday, babies through fifth-grade kids experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

We would love for you and your family to visit Hope City Kids this Sunday. Join the fun, and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

What We Believe

We believe families are our first mission field and place a high priority on making sure your kids have an awesome experience on Sunday mornings. Not only will they be safe and secure, Hope City Kids uses age-appropriate teaching styles to point your kids to Jesus. Your kids will be begging to come back.

We also believe that Sundays are just one part of your child’s faith training, so we partner with parents to help you be the primary faith trainer. Our Family Discipleship Plan guides families through this lifelong process. We come alongside you to equip you with tools like take home worksheets that you can use to discuss the Bible with your kids. We have resources such as books, small-groups, training, and family experiences to help you through life as a parent.

Your First Visit

From the moment you pull in the parking lot, you’ll notice lots of friendly faces eager to show you the way.

Your First Stop, when you arrive is the first-time check-in area. We want to serve you and your child well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you. We’ll ask about allergies, make sure we know what your child likes to be called, and collect your contact information.

Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick-up your child after service.

Next, you will be asked to provide us with a cell phone number that in the event that we need to contact you during the service. (Remember to leave your cell phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) If your child cries, our caring volunteers will immediately soothe your child. If your child cries for an extended period of ten minutes, we will text you to request that you come to your child’s classroom.

Lastly, you and your child will receive a check-in tag specifically created for your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.

If for any other reason we need to reach you during the service, you will receive a text on your phone asking you to come to the Hope City Kids Check-in Center.

The Ride Home

We encourage parents to keep the conversation going on the car ride home. Ask your child these two questions:

– Did you have fun?

– What did you learn?

Our goal is to have a positive answer to both of those questions each week.

Want to get more involved in what your child is learning? Follow Hope City Kids on Facebook to keep up with each week’s key takeaway and Bible story.

What We Value

Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We bring Bible stories to life through activities and conversations that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s Word and understand its value in their lives.
Relationships

We want kids to know there are people at church who care about them. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a small group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Age-Appropriateness

Everything from our environments, to the language we use in our lessons, to our small group materials, are created with your child’s age and stage in mind.

Safety
We take lots of steps before kids arrive to keep them safe. Every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check. Our whole team — from staff members to small group leaders to safety personnel — are trained to keep your kids safe.
Fun
Kids love fun! We create fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting. When children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back.
